Our approach
A selective practice, built for consequential work.
Law Justice Maryland is a group of lawyers with distinguished legal careers and government experience. The team accepts a limited number of matters across the United States and internationally, coordinating admitted local counsel where another jurisdiction requires it.

Why selectively
Fewer matters. More attention where it matters.
Founded in 1951, the firm has represented clients for more than seven decades. A limited matter list is a quality control, not a sales position. It allows the team to review conflicts carefully, prepare properly, and communicate candidly about cost and risk. It also means the team will decline matters that do not fit.
- 01
Selective by design
The team takes on a limited number of matters so that each one receives focused attention. Not every inquiry will be a fit, and the team will say so directly.
- 02
Experience across public and private practice
The lawyers bring distinguished legal careers and government experience to the review of each matter. Ask about the specific experience relevant to your issue.
- 03
Clear scope from the start
Engagement terms, responsibilities, and fees are discussed before representation begins. No one becomes a client by sending an email or creating an account.
- 04
Candor over reassurance
Clients deserve a realistic assessment of strengths, risks, cost, and timing. The team does not promise outcomes.
Fit
What the team looks for in an inquiry.
01
The matter is within the team's admitted jurisdictions or can be coordinated with admitted local counsel.
02
The issue falls within the team's current focus and capacity.
03
No conflict of interest prevents representation.
04
The client is prepared to engage with clear terms in writing.
What we commit to
- Explain the realistic strengths and risks of a position.
- Set scope, responsibilities, and fees before representation begins.
- Tell a prospective client promptly when a matter is not a fit.
What we will not do
- Promise a result, a timeline, or a specific outcome.
- Treat an email or form submission as creating a client relationship.
- Publish client results, testimonials, or rankings as proof of quality.
Experience
Public service, private practice, and the judgment between them.
The lawyers in the group bring distinguished legal careers and government experience. That background informs how the team reads procedure, evaluates risk, and prepares for adversarial settings. Ask about the specific experience relevant to your matter during consultation.
Selective intake
A serious matter deserves a serious conversation.
Share the general topic and how to reach you. The team will review fit, jurisdiction, and conflicts before discussing representation.
Do not include confidential facts, documents, or sensitive personal information. Sending an inquiry does not create an attorney-client relationship or mean a matter has been accepted.
